Coaching

Coaching and Psychotherapy are two very different processes. While both are collaborative, coaching is more future focused, goal-oriented towards defined professional success and satisfaction, and should never attempt formal trauma work. Coaching may, at times, look into the past but for the specific purpose of identifying patterns contributing to challenges that interfere with your contemporary sense of satisfaction and success. ​
There are as many approaches to coaching as there are goals to work towards. I use a positive psychology coaching methodology which leans into an evidence based strategy in addition to utilizing therapeutic skills developed as a therapist. I will not hesitate to recommend formal therapy if it becomes apparent that this would be beneficial, and in the interest of prioritizing safety and well-being.
